Modern technology has made so much of our lives easier. When it comes to college life, these gadgets are valuable tools to get the most out of your study sessions and day-to-day needs. They’re worth the investment!

Headphones (noise-canceling)

College doesn’t call for just any headphones. You’ll need the noise-canceling kind. The beauty is you can use them two ways. Either create your own party in your study time in a super quiet library without hearing any outside noise or put them on if there’s some noisy machinery sounds or people talking nearby when you’re wanting peace and quiet.

Headphones (noise-canceling)

Noise-canceling headphones will be more expensive than the normal kind, but totally worth the investment if you’re serious about your studies, and sanity.

Smartwatch

You can plan and manage your time effectively when you sync your phone with your smartwatch, and get reminders, access your calendar, click, activity tracker, music player, texting, and more. This saves you from taking out your phone mid-class to check the time that your study group is supposed to meet, or to text someone back without looking like you’re not listening!

Travel mug

Let’s face it, you’re going to be drinking a lot of coffee during your time in college. Or if you’re not a coffee drinker, you’re probably sipping on tea, matcha, or some other specialty hot drink. Save the environment by saying no to disposable cups and invest in a reusable mug to take to the cafe so they can fill your order. Some cafes even offer a little discount for people who bring their own cups. Imagine how much you’d save over a few years of college with a small investment in the mug!

Charging bag

Yep! This is a thing! You can either choose a backpack or handbag form of this innovative chargeable device. Essentially it has an inner charging station somewhere in the bag so that you can charge your small devices, like your phone, wireless headphones, or tablet. That will be super valuable for days you forget to charge your devices before going out. You won’t have to worry about drained batteries mid-class while you’re taking notes anymore.

Reading light

Although a lot of studying can all be done online on our devices, paper isn’t officially gone just yet. You might have a few paper textbooks to read, so investing in a small reading light will be a good idea to read at night, especially if you share with a roommate that might like to go to sleep earlier than you.

Wireless keyboard

If you’re using a tablet for taking notes in class or studying, then investing in a Bluetooth wireless keyboard will make note-taking way faster. No need to type on the screen, you can use it just like a laptop keyboard. They’re easy to put into your backpack or bag, and might even be able to recharge in that charging bag you got!

Kindle

When it comes to electronic reading, a tablet might be a little big and clunky to read texts and books at night in bed. Plus, there is more blue light coming off those devices than a kindle (E-reader).

Did you know that you can actually download PDF texts onto your kindle? You don’t just have to purchase books in order to read them on your E-reader! Makes reading at night much easier and better for your eyes!
